Davos Tebin
Best Halfling in the Gallows
Currently, Davos is relatively safe in Highgate, and continues to conduct business there. Though, he seems to be gaining more and more people to look after ever time The Goons come back into town.
Co-owner of the fanciest establishment in The Gallows of Highgate, Davos has always had a way with words. He was the first to welcome Melinoe Expspiravit to the island, and she took an instant liking to him. He is a charismatic halfling with magic boots that make him taller, as well as a respected businessman and lover of minty halfing weed. He is also quite the ladies’ man, creating a drink in Melinoe’s likeness within hours of meeting her - which has since become her favorite drink. Ultimately Melinoe slept with him, and as a result, she gained free lodgings for her stays in Highgate. His establishment, The Goblin’s Woe is also where The Goons first met, and has become their home whenever they find themselves in Highgate.
Originally a street orphan from Loross, Davos has lived a hard life. He was once cared for by an older boy named Tebin, as was Jedek Tebin, and found that while life was far from easy it was ultimately a good life. Once, for his birthday, Jedek even was able to give him a mint cake, which is where his love for mint was born. However, Jedek and Davos found it impossible to stay in Loross when their honorary brother was ultimately killed by the police there. Jedek took Davos to Highgate and they never looked back. Those first years were hard, and while Davos found employment in The Gallows, Jedek ultimately would leave for the sea - only to return sporadically. But it is Jedek’s love of vice that ultimately caused Davos to buy The Goblin’s Woe, as it is Jedek who provided the funds for the purchase. Davos is glad of the purchase though, as it helps him keep Jedek from O.D.ing since he “gives Jedek the most watered down good stuff” and ultimately gives Jedek a place to go when things get too rough. However, despite being an accomplished businessman, Davos is not respected in The Estates due to his lowborn status.
Given that they are brothers in all but blood, Jedek and Davos have a pact to not sleep with each other’s conquests. That was, however, until they met Melinoe who ultimately got them to take her at the same time.
“So you’ve managed to accomplish what no one else did my dear. Get me drunk enough to behave as Jedek does. It was fun of course but not something I’m particularly proud of, there are things I don’t remember after that much rum. Do be safe and have a lovely night, you’re much too powerful for your own good it seems!”
