Anya Raolin
Not long after the death of her mother, Tammy Raolin, Anya and her brother made friends with Melinoe Expspiravit, much to the chagrin of their uncle. Anya always thought Melinoe was cool since she “looked like a Ghostfolk”. It’s very likely that Melinoe was their first friend, as they were hers since there were never many children in Shadowfen. Tragedy struck when she was eight when her brother went missing. While she remained friends with Melinoe after the fact, it was never the same. The loss of her parents and brother ultimately left her with mental scars that she couldn’t seem to shake. Despite this, she went on to live a mostly fulfilling life, getting into trouble with Melinoe as a teenager and then being allowed to work in the winery. She felt she had finally found her place, as she seemed to have inherited her mother’s gift for winemaking, but tragedy would strike again when she was 24 and her uncle went missing. This time, she wouldn’t even have her friend to lean on to help her through her grief.
With so much loss in her life, seeing Melinoe after some years filled her with both nostalgia and dread. Especially when Melinoe asked after her uncle, and told her of her brother’s ghost. The years hadn’t been kind, and Anya found herself being short with Melinoe at that time. However, she was grateful to Melinoe for honoring her promise and helping her finally lay her brother to rest. She finally let go of all the pent-up emotion as they watched her brother’s body burn.
She was killed in Petyr’s attack on Shadowfen, along with the majority of the townsfolk.
