Councils of Seasons + Stonecalls
The Circle of the Land does not have a formal government, but rather each Circle-Grove has a Council of Seasons and Stonecalls. Each Circle-Grove is centered around ancient standing stones (which are positioned where ley lines converge) and are the few “permanent” settlements within all of Saldelia.
Council of Seasons
A Council of Seasons consists of the four highest-ranking druids in the grove (not including Stonecalls), each in a different advisory role:
Warden of Spring (lowest-ranking) (Rebirth and Growth) – Oversees healing of the land, education of young druids, and renewal of sacred sites.
Warden of Summer (Vigor and Protection) – Focuses on defense, sacred oaths, and stewardship of abundant lands.
Warden of Autumn (Reflection and Harvest) – Guides cultural rituals, lore-keeping, and decisions of long-term wisdom.
Warden of Winter (highest-ranking) (Rest and Reckoning) – Handles judgment, spiritual introspection, and culling corruption (both literal and spiritual).

Stonecalls
Stonecalls are the Circle of the Land’s title for anyone who has reached the Archdruid level. These are individuals who have mastered Druidry, and have therefore mastered their relationships with the natural world. They are so-called for their responsibility to maintain the Standing Stones, both magically and through conservation. They are also mediators, spiritual advisors, and lore-keepers.
Stonecalls are considered to outrank the Council of Seasons and are effectively the Council’s mentors. Whenever possible and appropriate, it is the Stonecalls who convene together to discuss matters that affect Saldelia or Craia as a whole. Stonecalls also serve as tiebreakers when determining new Council members or in the event a Council has reached a stalemate.
It takes a grievous miscarriage of responsibilities to unseat a Stonecall, and no one in living memory can remember a time that it was needed.
