The Heap is a planet sized pile of broken ships, asteroids, dead creatures, and other trash that has somehow collected into an enormous mass over time. Not many people know of its existence and even fewer know that there are people and creatures who live on it. There is very little, if any, form of society on The Heap. Gold is all but worthless there. Bartering, collecting, and stealing are almost exclusively the ways to get what you need. The people there are extremely talented craftsmen who value function much more than aesthetic. There is little time for leisure and play. Survival is at the forefront of everyone’s mind.
