Session: 2
Players: Elyrea, Iris, Veradis, Wren, Fennel Seed
NPC’s: The Magnificent Markel,
Notes:Started by recapping session one as usual.
The party wakes in Wren’s apartment fairly early in the morning. A storm rolls in above them from the North-West and, following a similar path, the party notices a floating city called Torshvan.
Elyrea, Veradis, and Fenn all roll checks and get the following information: Torshvan is a strange floating city that appeared in the sky around 100 years ago, floating aimlessly over the world. There have been sighting of celestial beings flying around the city, moving between the separated ringed layers of the mountains of Torshvan. (They hit a DC of 18, not over 20, so there’s still information missing.)
The party decides to head to a pub in hopes of finding information and also more cocaine (Elyrea and Wren used up their supply already) and make their way to The Flamboyant Pirate (a gay bar in Castledorn.) The Tiefling bartender behind the counter, Tragedeigh, gives them popcorn and some information: Stefan likes to party, drink, and do drugs. No one really thinks that he’s missing, just off doing his own thing. Most people wouldn’t be sad if it stayed that way. He also harasses a lot of women and basically sleeps with anything that moves.
Tragedeigh also admits to being there when Torshvan appeared in the skies over Castledorn, as Fen is enamored with the idea of a floating city and won’t stop asking questions that people can’t answer: The city appeared through a large golden portal that cracked open across the sky, leaking innate arcane energy known as Aether as Torshvan lowered itself down into the sky.
The weather worsens as the party leaves to go to The Wiggling Wizard, a posh magical supply store near the castle. The older dwarven woman working the counter answers the questions the party has about the missing court wizards.
Pendragon - no one knows much about them, or has seemed to do business with them at all. Newly appointed. Perhaps studying Torshvan or Aether, something along those lines.
Hench - Eccentric halfling man, moved for a grant and needed to become appointed to get the money. Studying weather surges over Wickery Islet.
Suliman - Has a lot of aether around her, basically pulsing with her every movement. The insect plague from years ago was caused by one of her students and she dipped out of the country after that. There’s a lot of rumors as to who she’s taught in the past: Rhysand Saelis, Harmony Sulien, maybe even the exiled King Thalis. Potentially also Jenkins.
Jenkins - beautiful man, super kind and charismatic. He had this large mechanical house as a warlock patron, apparently, and it suddenly went missing a while back. They think it was last seen near this large crater in Devenrichem, near some small town that no one really knows the name of. (Veradis knows what they mean.)
Elyrea separates herself from the party and makes her way to the castle. She questions the guards: Stefan was traveling through Torlen when he went missing. No one really likes him. Apparently he wanted to go to Lindon to go to some strip club or something.
Iris goes on a mad girl walk, she doesn’t think it’s worth staying in Castledorn.
Lightning hits the ground at Wren’s feet. It’s Talos! He tells Wren the following: Oberon is looking for Fen, he has no information on Stefan but does know that something in the Aether shifted around the time Jenkins went missing, and that Jenkins’ warlock patron has attached itself to someone new.
