Uthemar was right. He knows a lot of things about the land and the seasons and the days and the moon and the animals and the plants. The seasons. Now they are different. Just when you’re getting used to the sun moving in the sky and being super bright and then disappearing after just an hour of normal light and the darkness arriving after that with the moon in it. Come to think of it, the moon is almost as crazy as the seasons. But seasons. So they’re different. Days get shorter and colder and a lot of plants die. But they come back Uthemar said. So I don't worry about that because Uthemar was right about a lot of things. Now we’re in the season of spring and some plants have small buds and seem to be getting ready for summer, which Uthemar promised would come after spring.
As crazy and interesting as the seasons and the moon are people. The moods of some people change quicker than the moon changes her faces. I guess that’s why Sigurd told me not to trust strangers. He is nice. Not like Mary Stewart or William Stewart are nice. They give me food sometimes when I bring them rabbits or roots. Their kids are nice too. Also not like Sigurd. They smile more. But Sigurd can not smile because of his job he told me. It is bad if the bad people see him smile. He smiles for me sometimes. I like it when he smiles. He knows A LOT about people. Why some are scared of me. Or him. And why they look different. And why some have angry moods. It is because they have something stuck up their arse Sigurd says. I don’t know why they don’t take it out. And Sigurd told me not to help them take it out. Or to look. People don’t like when you look at their arse Sigurd says. Which is strange, because some men people seem to like to look at my arse. One even grabbed my arse. I put pain in his brain and made him run away. Sigurd laughed about that when I told him. He said I did it right. He teaches me a lot. About the metal pieces you can buy boots for and how to talk to merchants. He and Uthemar know a lot about different places. I am glad they met. They will learn so much from each other.
Today I made a new friend. Khajiit. He is a Tabaxi. But he didn’t shoot arrows at me. He also has a different color from the ones in the woods that do shoot arrows. He seemed a bit sad when I first saw him sitting on the square. And cold, though it was colder a moon and a half ago. I followed him for a few days, because you can’t trust strangers, as Sigurd says but he didn’t shoot arrows at anyone. He doesn’t even have a bow. He has some magical shimmering knives he seems to hide under his cloak somewhere. He throws them at birds and eats them. The birds. Not the knives. So today I bought a chicken to eat with him. Mary prepared it for me. I was hoping he liked roasted big birds. I like them better than raw small birds. And he did. He was cold but he needs the metal pieces. For his wife I think. Because he brings all the pieces to the place where they live. Everyday. So I asked him to come to Mary, at the Black Horse Tavern to eat and get warm. He was hesitant but when I gave him a grey coin he wanted to come. He thought I wanted something from him. He’s funny.
We went to the tavern and met Uthemar on the way there. Sigurd was at the Black Horse already. So I could introduce all my friends and my almost friend Khajiit to each other. Sigurd talked business things with me. About yellow metal rewards and things. He seemed a bit upset about me making friends with strangers. But after I told him I followed Khajiit for a few days before I made friends he seemed less concerned. So the business was so secret Sigurd wanted to talk about it at my tree. Where people can not hear. Because they are afraid of the forest. And it is not even that dangerous close to Shadycreek Run.
On the way to my tree Khajiit and Sigurd made friends. They even put their faces really close together so they could talk better. After the talk we finally went to my tree. Khajiit liked it so much he gave me my grey metal back. Then Sigurd told us his scary boss asked us to go to the ruins to find things for rewards. And Sigurd doesn’t even like his boss that much, so it must be good rewards to go into the dangerous forest. Otherwise Sigurd would not go. But Uthemar told us that if we find things in the ruins we have to take them to his people and that they will give us a better reward. They want to fix the forest, so I wanted us to go with Uthemar’s plan. I told Sigurd this and he agreed with me. Khajiit also wants to fix the forest or at least get yellow metal. His eyes really gleamed when Sigurd told us how many we’d be getting.
Then we decided that we needed to show each other how well we can deal with danger and threat. Well. If I know one thing of danger it is that you have to be more dangerous. Or run. So it turned out Khajiit and Sigurd had seen some heavies from one of the nasty families and that was what they had been talking about when they put their faces together. So we decided to teach them not to try and scare us. It went really well. One of them dropped dead like the birds when Khajiit threw one of his shimmering daggers. It was really exciting. Uthemar even changed into a bear! Then we took their things like Sigurd taught me to. When you have the time, take everything useful he told me this winter. Khajiit seemed to know about this too. He helped me take the things.
After that we went to a merchant and I negotiated a deal with Sigurd’s help. I'm glad he taught me about merchants. Then we went to eat at the Black Horse. I’m really happy I have so many friends now. Friends that are not afraid. They can help me fix the forest for sure.
(Sigurd)
I don't trust this. I don't trust the boss giving me this job. I've got 100 crowns to get a gang and go to these ruins and take special stuff from there. It's in the fucking woods. I know davinara enough to take her. I told her we meet at the black horse. She made new fucking friends again. I told her you don't in shitty creek run. She gets herself killed, but then don't. It was a forestman and a catman this time. There is a chance their skills are just the thing is needed. Uthemar and khajiit they names.
We go davinara's tree. I tell them the job. They'll come for share of 20 crowns, I take 2 shares. Catman chance notice something wrong. I tell he take half my share. He 30, I 30, they 20, everyone happy. We went round ambush on our way to the tree. We say we see others skill and go back and do the work on the ambush. We stalk them and catman show heart and come out. I respect him and step out too and devinara and forestman too. We do the work. Two run, three to the mud. We take their stuff, sell it and go black horse.
Catman has to move his wive. Others have to take their stuff.
I'm not going back. I step out of uttolot and never come back to shitty creek run. We sell stuff from ruins in a place forestman knows. I don't trust them, only devinara. But I trust boss less now. No way back.
(Uthemar)
It's been a while since I've slept on a soft bed, I didn't like it, I decided to just use my bedroll instead. I've slept in the black horse tavern with friends of Davinara. Khajiit seems like a decent person, but he has an air of desperation about him that makes me be a little bit wary of him, and Sigurd he's an absolute thug but he seems sincere to want to leave his old life behind him.
Today we start our journey to Molaesmyr, I'm eager to get out of the city.
(Uthemar)
We got attacked by some creatures underway, they seemed greater in numbers than usual and this got us into some serious trouble. If it wasn't for Sigurd we may not have made it at all, a little reckless but he is a force to be reckoned with. I'm glad we're on the same side, I hope it stays that way. Kahjiit got seriously hurt but luckily Davinara was able to heal him, I better keep an eye on him, he's very quick but can't take a punch. I knew Davinara was skilled but seeing her in a bigger battle today just emphasized how strong she really is, I wonder how she will adept to this plane I hope she keeps her happy demeanor.

(Uthemar)
After two days of relative uneventful travel we have arrived at Molaesmyr. The ruins are well guarded and we are going to sneak in through a cave roughly a mile from the guards.
The caves seem to be unguarded and we got in unnoticed, I'm afraid they may have a good reason to keep these caves unguarded but we'll find out soon enough.
My curiosity got the better of me again, we saw a few people not far into the cave and they seemed petrified and I don't mean scared, I mean they looked like statues and I had to touch one. Well they weren't statues after all, they attacked us immediately. It was barely a fight but something felt weird. When the dwarf attacked, it didn't feel like I expected it felt more like my being was hurt rather than my body, it still hurt though. During the fight I turned into a very big spider, so it seems to make sense to go up front and scout further into the caves. Kahjitt asked if he could ride on my back, I let him it seems a good way to keep him from harm also I noticed he is very observant, it could come in handy.
(Sigurd)
We went further down the cave and came out somewhere in the ruins. Out of sight of the tower.
Still don't trust it.
We readied on of the houses as a campsite. Then we scouted more towards the palace and the biggest tower. Khajit and Uthemar were up ahead when two banshees attacked them. They hurt us bad, Uthemar went down. I chanced it. They ended up dead for good.
We healed up. Khajit scouted more, he saw a Tarrasque had claimed part of the ruins.
We scouted more and rested.
We went for the tower, most chance of loot. Also the door was open.
We went in and upstairs. On the second floor we saw Claes. He looked dead, just bones. But he was standing and talking to us.
I didn't trust it.
I searched the room to find loot. But then I thought, Claes is my friend. He told us that a ghost in a secret room in the cellar kept him locked in the tower.
I told Catman, Beastman and my only other friend Davinara that we should help Claes. Everyone must be free, not locked up.
As we walked down Davinara led me out the tower. She said we go outside first. I don't understand, we have to find the ghost to free my good friend Claes. I explain to Davinara she and him are my only friends and you have to help your friends. Then Claes said it was time I took her out but not kill her. So I beat her. It did not feel right, but I did. She cast a spell and it turns out Claes was right there! I'm so happy! Claes is a really good friend you know. He knows what I do. I beat her more, but she ran off. I'm happy she ran, Davinara is my only other friend. Sometimes when I hurt people, I kill them if they stick around too long. But my good friend Claes knows me too and he must know Davinara too, because she said he was surprised to see her. Maybe he is shy.
(Khajiit)
Uthemar and I are searching the downstairs for a door to the cellar, to look for the ghost who's supposed to be down there, and who's keeping Claes bound to this tower. Davinara has escorted Sigurd outside, because we suspect he's under the control of Claes. I'm not sure what her plan is, because while we were still discussing plans and options, she suddenly stormed off, made promises to Claes and grabbed Sigurd to go downstairs and outside. She's nice, but too unpredictable and erratic!
While Uthemar and I are investigating a trapdoor we found, Davinara comes running back inside, nose bloodied, followed by Claes and Sigurd - and she is yelling that Sigurd was ordered by Claes to attack her. This stinking undead! I knew we shouldn't have trusted this situation, this was a horrible plan from the beginning. And what was Davinara thinking, running off with Sigurd all by herself? Time to earn my keep! We attack the evil lich. Davinara goes down during the fight but I am able to get her back up, and Claes flees upstairs. I follow, and after some more fighting (Sigurd and Davinara helped a lot, but Uthemar was kinda useless - always in the way with his fat bear-ass!) the undead surrenders. Good, now we can finally get to the bottom of what the hell is going on.
Claes wants to make a deal: he will say how he knows Davinara, and in return he wants us to let him go. Personally I don't think it's a good idea, let's just search his belongs for clues, but it's up to Davinara, and she decides to agree. So we all swear to let him go after he gives the information. He gives us a rambling story about how his master and Davinara's are the same or similar or whatever, it doesn't make sense to me. Davinara says she has no idea what he is talking about. I knew this stinking creep was just selling us bullshit to get away. And right at that moment, Claes jumps back into the magical circle on the floor and activates it. The basterd! We all jump on him, and I end up making the killing blow. Feels good. We also hear a happy yell from the cellar, so we guess the ghost is now gone as well. We did good! As Sigurd said: "Everyone must be free, not locked up."
We search the whole tower and find a LOT of money. Like, oh my god SO MUCH GOLD. Should I just leave these powder kegs behind and go back to Inoki in Shadycreek Run? Haha no of course not, this was just the first tower we searched. We're going to find so much more in these ruins!
We also have a long discussion about what to do with the magical circle on the floor. It's obviously evil: an undead lich worked on it for hundreds of years to transform it into something that could bring him back to life, and it hurt me like hell. I want to smash it to pieces, Sigurd is down to smash (no surprise there of course), but Uthemar thinks it should be saved because it's thousands of years old and "can't be evil". Are all Elves this daft? Ugh. But sure, whatever, it's his heritage and all. I'm suuuure this isn't going to bite us horribly in the end...
At night I dream about the palace next door and imagine the riches we're definitely going to find there. We'll be rich! Uthemar can have his Elven relics, everybody will be happy, I'll be famous and Samir Harrak will eat crow.
(Khajiit)
We had a good night's rest, and in the morning after a nice breakfast we're about to sneak out of the tower. I walk in front, open the door, and gesture to the group to halt.
What... the... fuck... is that?
(Uthemar)
This was the first time I threw myself backwards out a window before breakfast, I gave the ring we found to Khajiit as I will soon master the skill of flying in wildshape and will have little use for it.
After our morning ritual, we went on our way to the palace across the square when Khajiit saw a huge statue, which in hindsight I should have recognized immediately, the statue appears to be able to move. It had swords mounted on its hands and something resembling leather boots on its feet, it was "Lysander The Incorruptible" I still don't know how I did not see this, he may be the greatest Elven hero that ever lived. As a kid I loved the stories about him, how he would fight relentlessly until the truth was revealed. But I digress, we went out and snuck around the statue to the back entry of the palace. Not recognizing Lysander, I was wary of the statue and cast a spell to make it more difficult to find us, we succeeded to find the back entrance and went in. When we got in it was impressive, many things where mauled and looted but it's not difficult to image how beautiful it must have been in its prime, a lot of wall paintings were still intact and some cutlery still on the tables. I'm more driven to find out and revert what was done to our city than when I started this endeavor with Davinara, I think I now see a glimpse of what she's trying to restore. She was very distracted by the beauty of the palace to the point she actually fell into a trap twice, she was seriously hurt otherwise it would have been funny. Now we're getting to the good part, we found the royal diary, 200 volumes of everything that has happened in Moleasmyr written by the king, it is difficult to put down because so much had happened and much of it I was not aware of. My parents have told me about the city but reading the diaries makes it so more real and the details give such a clear insight in the workings of the city, I hope we can find out what happened, the last page mentions a multi decade ritual that should be able to protect the city once and for all. We're all wondering if that was the downfall of the city. We packed up and divided the books among us and started our journey to Uthodurn, I'm keen to get all of the books back to Uthodurn and have them studied, I also hope my friends get paid well otherwise I'm afraid next time they will not take it back to Uthodurn and will try to sell it somewhere else. We will take the backdoor out and be on our way.
My final entry
Why did I call this my final entry? Not time to dwell on that now. We're sneaking out of the palace, Lysander the Incorruptible being non the wiser and we headed out of the city. We are not exiting the city the way we came in, we are going North strait to Uthodurn. This is an unknown part of the city but the alternative is going around the city through the treacherous woods, this seems the safer choice.
We're at the edge of the city and nobody has noticed us yet. We should find a gate soon and get into the woods on our way to Uthodurn. I know the forest is dangerous but I'm eager to get back to the plants and animals. What's this? They're attacking us, they look like unde insert ink scratch and blood stain on paper here.
A fierce battle ensued where the Revenants are relentlessly attacking Uthemar they seemed to ignore everyone else until he was knocked out. Khajiit had a stroke of genius and made himself look like an elf, one of the attackers had taken the bait and is attacking Khajiit the scheme seems to have worked. Alas it did not, the other attackers kept wailing on Uthemar, he died right there. Khajiit turned himself back and the attackers lost interest and left. The party had only been able to kill one of the Revenant and are now trying to find a way to carry all the books and Uthemar his body back to his family in Uthodurn.
(Sigurd)
We go out the city carrying the books and Uthemar. I'm glad we put him in the magic bag, the smell will not be so bad now.
On our way out we hear a sound and then a metal man ran by. He runs from something. We hide. It's the statue that followed him. We attack it, it's very hard. Metal man says the statue says we leave. So we leave.
Metal man wants to come with to Uthedorn. We say he pays protection fee. He pay us 1 gold now and more when he sells a book on weaving. He seems to like weaving. He's odd.
(Sigurd)
We walk for days in the mist now. It stinks. Not so bad now, you get used to it. Today we seem to go in circles. Davinara says Uthemar told her about green dragons and they make a maze and we're in one. We walk and walk and get to the same point each time. Then Davinara saw another path and we make it out.
I see three trolls, sick trolls. We attack them. The dragon comes out too. We fight. The dragon doesn't come in reach of my hammer. Coward.
He breathes poison on us. Three times. We're going to die in this stinking swamp.
He shouts: "Surrender or you will die!"
I'm no coward, but there is no point in dying. We surrender.
(Davinara)
Wow. I mean WOW! The forest was interesting already. Going straight, but in a circle. I wish Uthemar was around he would have been impressed. But then swamp, trolls, DRAGON!! I was scared but it was magnificent. So we tried to fight it, but dragons are hard to fight. Turns out it wanted to talk and negotiate and get us to do things for her. Her name is Vlehanian. She is so beautiful and scary. Nails on her claws as long as my lower arm and the shades of green on her scales!!
Absolutely magnificent. And there's people who want to hunt her. But she's busy and doesn't have time to explain them not to hunt her. So me, Khajit, Sigurd and Metal Man agreed to help her and do the talking with the hunters. She wanted us to get the hunters to go after her mama. Crazy huh. She must have had a hard childhood, if she wants the dragon hunters to go after her mama. Maybe something to do with not eating her porridge.
Anyway, she put a spell on us, to make sure we would keep our end of the deal and not just walk away. Makes sense to me. So then she told her where to find her mama and lots of other stuff about her mama, whose named Ysandr'el. I tell you, bad childhood memories. Maybe she had a brother or sister who was the favorite child. I don't know.
So anyway. We head out to these dragon hunter peoples. We slog out of the swamp and reach a river that we follow. On the river we find some sort of castle that belongs to the hunters and we went and met them.
Metal Man is interesting. He can tweak his armor or something. One moment it's all clunky and loud and then he fiddles with it for an hour or so and it's not clunky at all. Also he doesn't sleep. He just sits and stares ahead of him. But he does notice what is going on. Cause I was waving in front of his face and he noticed it. Very interesting. I don't think he eats. Hmmmm. Strange.
Anyway...where was I. Oh, yeah, the hunter fortification. So we were sneaking around it to get an impression of it, but they saw us. Then we went and talked to them and they invited us inside. They're working hard on that place and they like Kord. He's a god Sigurd told me about. A different god than Melora. She is nice. She likes nature and plants and animals and people that care for nature and plants and animals. Not Kord. He is more of a 'ead bustin' and ass kickin' god, the way Sigurd explained it to me. So all these hunters are head busting ass kicking peoples I guess. Sigurd seems to like them. They gave us food and Sigurd and Khajit talked to them.
Metal Man doesn't talk so much. And he is a bit funny around people. I was just looking, there was so much to see. Then Sigurd and Khajit told them the information about the green dragon. The mean mama, not the nice one we talked to. I mean, she must be nice, she could have killed us, but she totally didn't. So I wanted to tell these people that gave us food about her, cause they seem nice too. And then all of a sudden Sigurd elbows me again. He does that some times when I am talking. Bruises my ribs it does.
So then Khajit and Sigurd said they want to come along with these Kord dragon hunter peoples. But they say we have to prove ourselves by hunting some ice crocodile. Pffffttt. That can't be that hard. I've done hide and seek with blink dogs. Now that is hard I tell you. So we go out and find the tracks of this crocodile. And it's huge. Giant like I tell you. We fight it and it swallows Sigurd!!! That was nasty. But we killed it dead and Sigurd brought it's head to show to the Kord peoples. Then they gave us food again and said we could come to hunt the dragon. I'm a bit concerned though. If this mama dragon is so nasty her daughter wants her hunted maybe we should stay away, but Sigurd and Khajit seem convinced it is a good idea.
(Sigurd)
I'm happy we have joined the Riders on the Storm. I think we have a fighting chance now. Of course, I don't know how much stronger Isi.. Isla... Isku... his mum is going to be. Davinara seems worried. I say no need, these Dragonhunters know their shit, they've found was to get and keep them grounded. And their all Kordist... good, honorable people, cut from the right tree. I like them.
After days we track the momma down. Scouts and the priest do these work. Then we run up the tree. Khajit can climb trees as fast as he can run over the plains. Much faster than I can, but then he has to catch his breath for a minute. He's still a lazy cat.
It's a big fight, we climb up, tangle her wings. She breaks free, breathes poison, bites, claws, bitch-slaps us with her wings. All the while we attack, we follow-up and some of us die. About 15 of us. But then the priest shoots a magic bolt, there's a flash, and the momma dies. Kord is great.
We go and find her lair, it takes hours but it's worth every minute. There's a sword that's so sharp, it falls through anything. The others are more interested in the boat, Davinara wants the ring.
No one cares that I taken the sword. It felt like I had to align with it, so I did. I'm glad it doesn't speak, I'm getting tired of everyone speaking in my head. It used to be just Khajit. Now it's Davinara as well. It's never quiet in my head now. It's times like these when I miss my old job. Simpler times.
Now to find that blink dog that took my dad's hammer. Oh and take Uthemar to Uthodurn. I haven't opened the bag, but I bet he reeks now.
(Khajiit)
After jumping through their annoying hoops, we're now finally full members of the Riders on the Storm, and together we kill the dragon Yysandr’el. We got so. much. gold! We partied with the few remaining members of the Riders (sadly most of their members dying didn't mean even more gold for us - if I would be the leader, no more money to widows for sure) and had a well deserved night's rest.
In the morning I suggest to Sigurd that maybe we should bury Uthemar in the forest, since he loved it here so much after all, it was his home. To be honest I didn't really like that Elf, he was always against my plans and we missed a lot of treasure because of his obsession with Molaesmyr. Like that statue that we almost killed? All those weapons strapped to its hands? Man, what a missed opportunity that was. Sigurd agreed to bury Uthemar here, Sigurd is a reasonable man, I am starting to like him more and more. Another bonus: now we have more space in our bag of holding for more loot to sell in Uthodurn! It's going to take a while before I get the smell of the body of Uthemar out of my nose though. Sometimes I wish I had the poor smell of those humans. Anyway, with Uthemar buried, no chance of him getting resurrected and joining the group again. I do feel bad for Davinara who seems sad, but I'm sure she'll get over the loss of Uthemar.
We unfold our magnificent magic boat and sail up the river and the lake towards the Alps. According to Rubble, we're going to skip a lot of dangerous ground this way. Rubble is also a very reasonable and useful man, I think I can maybe teach him cartography - he seemed interested. Would he pay for that? Nah, never mind. Just too bad he is the worst cook BY FAR I've ever met. At first I ate some of his food to be polite but now that we know each other better I stopped eating his food. He says he trained as a chef.. I wonder if he actually finished his training or if he got kicked out of chef school because he's so bad. Maybe it's just me though, the rest seems to eat his food just fine. Man, I miss the good spicy Marquesian food! No birds to catch here on the river either, so I am eating my rations.
A few days later we sail to the shore and set off towards the entrance of Uthodurn, through the Alps. Fuck, it's cold, so very very cold. It's all I can think about, my teeth are chattering, I can't stop shivering. Davinara is happy as always and in awe of the weather. Bless her heart, she does lift my spirit somewhat.
After a day of walking we are ambushed by a huge group of Hobgoblins, who weirdly enough want to fight to their deaths, even in the face of impossible odds. Still, they give it their best and managed to knock both Rubble and Davinara unconscious - Davinara even multiple times! Sigurd and I are handling the fight a lot better, the big man is a sight to behold. Where I am darting from place to place, never staying in a single spot, throwing my psychic blades, Sigurd is standing there, raging, surrounded from all sides, and yet unfazed, killing one enemy after the other. Note to self: keep Sigurd around and he'll take the brunt of the force when in a fight.
We loot the monsters, and after a short rest we continue our journey when we spot the tracks of a fight, and what looks like some humanoids taken as prisoners. Davinara and Rubble insist on following the tracks and saving those prisoners. I'm not so sure, it seems out of the way, into the cold, into danger... but the lure of a camp full of more enemies and more loot does win in the end and I agree to join. In fact, I sneak ahead, spot an empty camp save for two prisoners in a wooden cage, and I free them with ease. They're an Elf and a Dwarf, and they ask if they can join us to Uthodurn, which seems like an excellent idea to me. If we get attacked by the same giants they got attacked by before, it'll be easy enough to outrun the Dwarf.
By the Gods, I can't wait to lay in front of a fire on a cozy fluffy rug, counting my gold coins one by one. Can't wait to show Inoki, she'll be so proud! Luck is finally on our side, praise be Avandra!
(Sigurd)
Davinara said I should write more in the company book as she calls it. Also I should em-bel-ish more, Kord knows.
Here goes.
The small guy and the elf ... their names? Fucked if I know. I should not write our talk? ...
The small guy and the elf come safe to Uthodurn with us. They take us to an inn: the broken stool. Better not eat anything.
A whore approaches us. I tell her no company ... no I did not say please ... what manners!? ...
Turns out she the drinks wench. We get beers and get fesants ... phaesants, you sure? ... phaesants and stew. We listen to the small guy. He tells tall tales, taller than he. Taller than me even. He tells they find the giants digging up an old gate. Khajiit gets interested ... you sure this all needs to go in the book? It takes so long like this. I can not even do the voices in the book. ... Khajiit gets interested. Small guy says he kill giants and that he and the elf only escape and then he kills hobgoblins but they too many then he ... gets rescued by us. That was un-eks-pec-ted. He tells us fucking heroes. Even taller than his tales. That is fucking tall. Oh yeah, the elf come join us as I sutly ... !@#¥ ... subtly be-ckon her over. She does not understand the fine arts. I do as the Shitty Creek Run Theatre Troupe teach me. They were always impressed. And they knew their shit, they always act afraid around me. Very con-vin-cing. She says the small guy did not kill all the giants. We knew. We aint stupid.
We find where to find Uthemar family to tell them he died and give his stuff and where the Arc-ives ... Archives are and also the council.
We go to Uthemar family next morning. We knock on the gate ... what? Oh yes ... So it was a long way down first with lots of buildings and people and THEN we knock on the gate. We are taken to his mother. I am no talker so I nudge Khajiit. He nudge Davinara. She is good with people. Says it like it is. People respect that and they like it too.
"Hi, I'm Davinara, your son is dead"
I could not have found that fin-es ... finesse. The mother starts to cry. These elves. So much e-mo-tion. It aint good for you. You have to channel it in combat. Now Davinara is crying too. She liked Uthemar much. That makes me sad. Stupid mother, why did she cry? Khajiit takes Davinara aside and she feels better after he talks to her.
I give his stuff and Davinara gives all the books from the king. That makes the mother not so sad. She heartless ... ow ... she over-whel-med.
She thanks us for burying him and taking his stuff to her.
I ask her for a good word at the archives. She falls for my charm. I think it was the wink. She writes us a note.
We split up. Davinara and Rubble go to the Archives with the note. Khajiit and me sell the stuff. But first I tell what happens at the Archives.
It turns out the three books are from before the Cal-am-ity and they need to study on it more. I ask if they got a reciet ... receipt. They did not. Davinara is too trusting. Bless her heart.
And Rubble has no idea of all the lies people tell. But he tries. Kord knows he tries. Rubble can not do real evil I think. He can be trusted.
I think I can trust Khajiit as well.
So Khajiit and me go to a place that looks right. One stop shop. Khajiit does not believe what he sees. Why go to a je-we-ler AND an art dealer? I know my shit.
I get a good price, but the trader almost fuck me over. But I see it in time. Khajiit see it too. He aint stupid too ... ether ... either.
Khajiit also sell the paintings. He understands now. One stop shop. Khajiit remember to get diamonds for Davinara. She know strong magic now. But it is x-pen-sive. That is okay, we are rich now.
But then the trader tries to fuck us again. I show that shit does not fly. I try to rip a bar out. It won't break. They must fuck people over a lot and buy very strong bars. True craft-man-ship. The trader understands he does not fuck with us. He gives us the same diamonds or close enough.
He does not want me in the shop anymore. Of course. I see all and I take no shit.
Khajiit come out later. He understands slower than me. It is all good. His head is smaller, so his brain is smaller. I get that.
We ask around for magic shields, magic studded armor and I order a half plate being made from 6 of the dragon scales. I will have to pay for those to the others ... ow ... Davinara, Khajiit and Rubble. And the armor-smith of course.
We might need more gold soon. We will go through Molaesmyr on our way to Shitty Creek Run to get Inoki. The Uttolot can not hurt me no more. We killed a fucking dragon!
But first Devinara and Rubble want to go to a village. Khajiit wants to find out some thing in old maps. I better go with Davinara and Rubble. Rubble his workshop is there. I think Davinara wants to be out of the city. She likes all the new things, but she wants to be close to nature a lot. She is a little crazy from being raised by Fey. But she learns fast. I have teached her well. She also picks up ideas from the others. I am not sure how that will turn out.
(Davinara)
So this city is really awesome and they have all these really tasty food stuffs that I never tried before. I used my yellow pieces, that’s the gold, to get some really nice and warm and comfy clothes and boots. It’s really funny here. The shopkeepers smile and are friendly. I felt that I should not negotiate with them the way Sigurd taught me to negotiate with shopkeepers in Shady Creek Run. Also, they have so much more and better things for sale here, it’s amazing. And the people on the street don’t look scared and there’s no fights and people smile much more and say “hello” instead of growling “What are you looking at”. I like it here. And elves and dwarves are really good at making all sorts of beautiful things, tools, furniture, buildings anything you can think of they make, but pretty and good.
Anyway, I shouldn’t be getting distracted by the city. Khajit is studying things in the library and it will take days he says. Good. Because in Rumble’s village is a shrine to Melora and I feel I need to go there. Which will take a few days, but that’s ok, since Khajit is sniffing dust of books in the library anyway.
The way there is really beautiful. Well the mountains are really beautiful. And big. Also cold. But I got warm clothes. And boots. And gloves. On the way I tell Sigurd all about the plants and the trees we encounter, at least the ones I know, because the mountain nature is different than the forest nature. But also similar. On the way I picked seeds and pretty stones to leave at the Shrine. When we got to the village after a few days Rumble went to his house, but I went straight to the shrine. It was just outside of town. A beautiful open place among all sorts of trees. I had expected Sigurd to go to the bar and drink and sleep there, since he was complaining about sleeping outside and wanting to sleep in a warm comfy bed. But then he came with me and spent the night outside next to the fire I made. He is a good friend. He looks after me. And sometimes bruises my ribs. But that is all in good fun. I think. People are complicated. Anyway. I talked all night to Melora and prayed in the morning. She didn’t answer like she used to. Come to think of it, she talks a lot less to me since I left the Faerie land. And lately she doesn’t speak to me at all. I even had healing magic not work when I invoked her name. That made me sad and concerned. That I maybe had done things wrong. So that’s why I wanted to go to the shrine. Hoping to be closer to her and to tell her I am doing the best I can. I think she liked it when I made sure that Uthemar's family got the books of the history of their homeland.
After we came back to the pretty mountain city Khajit had found out more about some giants and treasure. It’s funny how he talks about ar-che-ol-ogy, but then his eyes start to gleam like when he is counting his money. So I think this archeology is just a fancy word for treasure hunting. Just as we were about to leave the mountain city a messenger boy came up to Khajit to hand him a note. It was about his wife being the honored guest of a Shady Creek Run crime boss. One of the most creepy ones, Sigurd used to tell me. So no archeology for now. All of a sudden we seem to be in a hurry to get back to that awful place. I know it is awful now that I have been here. But Khajit is my friend and if his wife is in danger we have to go. Sigurd and Rumble agree.
We travel to the river. And the river goes all the way to Shay Creek Run, supposedly. I haven’t followed it al the way yet, so I don’t know. We use our magical boat for most of the way. We only walk a bit to avoid the dragon hunter castle which now seems to be occupied by orcs. It goes a lot faster then walking, or rowing upstream.
So we get to Shady Creek fast. And we go straight to the guys house. Khajit’s wife seems to really like it there. It is a very fancy house. We have dinner with the boss. I forgot his name. He was honest. But creepy. He had lot’s of fancy things and lots of forks and knives and spoons for eating. I expected that he wanted gold for the wife. But he wants us to go to some far away place to kill a dragon. Sounds dangerous. And exciting. And it means there will be lots of new places for me to visit and see. Awesome. I’m coming. Now for some more dessert….
What is with Khajit? Why does he trust this scary gang boss guy so much? And his wife also… A few roasted birds and they think you’re a nice person. Oh no!!! Some nasty person from the gang must have seen me bring Khajit the roasted chicken and told his boss. That must be how they know Tabaxis like roasted birds so much…. What have I done?!?!? After dinner we had a long talk about where we want to go, but I don’t want to go to the forest now. Or to these giants in the tower. I want to see places where there are more nice folk and then I want to try their food. And desserts. Most of all I want to get out of this place. This town is not nice. I will get William and Mary and the kids a house in a good town. So they can feel safe and happy.
So the next morning we made disguises to ride through town. I got my own horse! With a saddle. I'm calling her Spot. Because she got a white spot on her nose. She’s really cute and I like her a lot a lot a lot!! Oh yeah, riding across town. As was to be expected someone recognized me because of my green eyes. They always give me away. The black on my face doesn’t distract enough. I will have to come up with something else. Maybe I should wear a flower in my hair! Or two.
So yeah, I got recognized and then we rode hard and fast to the mountain gate. I had to clear the bridge because it was crowded, but I made them all my friend for a moment and asked them to get out of the way.
After we crossed the mountain pass we met fancy looking soldiers with a really pretty banner. Their boss had a really big mustache and wouldn’t give me the banner. They wanted to see all the things we were bringing into their country because they didn’t allow contraband. Whatever that may be.
In the night, when I was sitting at the fire, my friend came to visit and explained to me that I can’t say Melora’s name in this land. She’s called the Traveller here. After we talked a bit he vanished as he always does. I talked a bit with Rubble after. He’s nice.
After some more riding we arrived at this town where we joined a caravan to another city. This place looked really big!! We rode around it. Pity. Would have been nice to try some food.
We joined the caravan of Bartrend, Bert and Frits. Frits is nice. She’s a dwarf woman warrior. Most of the people in the caravan are nice. The people on the farms we pass are also nice. They grow lots of nice foods. I spent quite some time visiting and helping people. Sigurd helps as well. And the people give us tasty food in return.
Then we get to the BIG city. It is ...It is…. Really, really big. And smelly. Very smelly.
(Rubble)
While I was resting for the night a woman's scream caught my attention. I got up and rushed to the source of the sound, I wasn’t alone apparently we all heard the scream and went towards it. Khajiit was the first to get close. He heard mumbling and thought someone was having sex, I’m not sure if it was a joke but I thought it was funny. Ignoring his previous sex assertion he rushed in the room where the scream came from and commanded the men in the room to stop and leave the woman alone. When I came in I repeated the command that they should stop and saw they were in the middle of kidnapping the woman, Khajitt made the right call she is in danger. A lot happened during the fight. A few things were strange, the attackers seemed to find it unusual that we are trying to save the woman and they are biting instead of using weapons. Sigurd kills one of the attackers and he just came back to life. He saw it and did a good job of separating the head from the body to prevent having the man get up again. The men keep on acting very confused. It's confusing. The attackers find a way to throw the woman out of the window and Davinara does a magical jump out the window. She told me there was a cart on the road with a lot of padding, where they caught the woman in. The driver took off as fast as he could and Davinara when she got back onto her feet somehow scared the pants off the men and they jumped from the cart. She just drove the cart back to us like it's nothing. She doesn't stop being impressive. In the meantime the rest of us jumped out of another window to chase after the remaining two men, one of them surrendered and the other one climbed onto the roof of another building and disappeared. I tied the man that had surrendered up and put him in my bag of holding, but he didn’t want to get in there, he just said no, weirdo, what does he think a surrender means? After a significant wrestling match I finally persuaded him to get in the bag. Kajiit and Sigurd chase the last attacker onto the roof. Sigurd looked very competent on the rooftops like a prancing mountain goat, until he fell off that is. The battle sounded fierce and Kahjiit said the attacker just narrowly got away. Time to go to the woman and Davinara who are talking, to see what is going on. Now I recognize the woman she is Leora Fairfax. We met her earlier and had a drink with us. The whole thing was a show, she paid some Count for the whole experience. Somehow everyone here finds this normal, that’s why the men were so confused that we tried to save Leora. She tells us the men are vampires, that explains a lot. Now I’m worried about the guy that Sigurd separated. I’m not sure how immortal vampires are. In the end Leora was actually very please on how the night went, she still got the unique experience wanted and she’s very interested in our dragon quest, she wants to come and is willing to pay a lot for the chance. We agreed she could come. She invites us to join her at her hotel. We all get a huge room. It looks like a very expensive hotel room. After we get settled we are invited to join Leora for dinner. For some reason Sigurd is pretending to be a “Scottish” nobleman, the Scottish part is working, the nobleman part not so much.
The party travels north towards Bysaes Tyl.
Party arrives in Bysaes Tyl and asks around after the Riders on the Storm
Party arrives at the local fort of the Riders on the Storm after having a slight dustup with a beholder where Rubble is nearly killed.
After a nice rest and welcome by their compatriots the party are introduced to Drok Thunder-Eye. After hearing about the mission to slay the great wyrm Aeranthrix he enthusiastically joins up but Khajiit "Sandrunner" is a stickler for protocol and insists that both he and Leora Fairfax first become members of the RotS.
The party sets off on the initiation rite, which is apparently slaying yet another of the prolific Arctic Crocodiles. After a short hike a crocodile is swiftly spotted by Khajiit though Davinara and Drok are convinced they are not just lurking in the water but are also setting up an ambush from above! Drok immediately charges at the crocodile after hearing an unfamiliar voice in his head warning him about the crocodile in the water. He ineffectively flails around, not doing much damage while Leora expertly stabs the beast and eventually Khajiit manages to kill the beast. Meanwhile Rubble is calmly taking a bath by using the creatures head as the motor in a washing machine.
After a short initiation ceremony and a tearful goodbye to Sigurd, who has decided to delve deeper into the mysterious ways of the Riders on the Storm, the party sets off back to Baesys Tyl on the return path to Shadycreek Run.
The party arrives in Baesys Tyl together with a flock of Viking warriors who all buy horses without any problems. Drok doesn't have a horse, or any gold to buy one. Davinara offers to buy one for him, and is sure she can get a great deal as she has been trained by the infamous bargainer Sigurd himself.
Together they enter the stables and with a mixture of accidental intimidation, a certain kind of charm and topping it off with some overt intimidation they get a great deal on a truly magnificent saddle and a very old nag. Overcome with pride and enthusiasm for getting such a great deal they return to the party where Rubble feels awful for the poor stable owner and sets off to set things right. Things go a bit differently than expected when he utters the ambiguous words: "Don't worry, I'm not here to buy anything." He leaves with another magnificent saddle and a 100 gold poorer, that he "hides" in the cash register while the owner watches, twitching with a severe case of PTSD.
It always feels good to fix things but I must admit I expected a more diverse set of problem most people here just want their teeth fixed, for now first rest we have a big day tomorrow
This morning we are finally packing up to go to Marquet, we are taking a whole slew of people with us, 20* of our riders of the storm brethren. The four of us Davinara, Khajiit "Sandrunner", Drok Thunder-Eye and me. And lastly our tourist Leora Fairfax with her protectors. I'm very keen to see Marquet Khajiit "Sandrunner" has been talking about it for 17 hours 1 minute and a full second, he really likes it and after the peek preview we got in the hotel I am now very curious about it and can't wait to go.
We're at the teleportation circle with the whole group and we're off.
Luckily the other end of the circle was not too far away from the city gates, we went in without any problem and settled and a local pub. After that we went to the local library to do some investigation about the green dragon we're hunting and found some solid clues about where it could be. On the way back we took a detour to get some supplies from the markets, they are impressive both big and all kinds of curiosities I've never seen before, I settled on buying several pieces of cloth to make clothing or blankets, I've been told the nights can get very cold.
Well that escalated quickly, we had some food, drinks and ended up trying to confront Samir, the man that left Khajiit "Sandrunner" *for dead. We first went to a lodge where both Khajiit "Sandrunner" and Samir are members, it turned out Samir wasn't there. So we decided to go to his house and confront him there. Somehow most of us became inebriated enough that we started chanting and yelling on our way to the house it was a very interesting experience that seemed to bond us as a group and that was rudely interrupted by some 20 guards that wanted us to go home and continue our party there. Drok valiantly offered to keep the guards occupied so the rest of us could continue our way to Samir, I couldn't let him do that alone, afterall he's just a boy.
After ambushing the ambush we were ambushed! Invisible assassins tried to kill us with poison and magic. Laughable! They failed. Kord witnesses our strength and laughs at the demise of our enemies. It is unfortunate that in our righteous anger we slew all on the battlefield and left no one alive to interrogate. But we found a diary on one of the assassins which points us to Tiamat, not the dragon queen, but the capital city of this province. There, some wizard is the leader of these cultists. We will travel there and defeat him. The rest of the group seems to think he will tell us where the dragon is. In my mind we are better off searching for the beast ourselves, dragons are big, once we're close someone will have seen it. And in cities there are always people, mostly humans, who want to test themselves against us. Destroying unworthy foes is unpleasant. But it will be nice to sleep in a bed and drink some of this wondrous stuff called beer.
Days, nay weeks, maybe more than a month it has been since I wrote anything down. It must have been a mix of missing Sigurd and all the new impressions I have had. Right now we are on a different kontinet. A kontinet is like a really big island, but then even bigger. So we were on one, but apparently there are more. Next thing you know people start telling you that the stars are actually all suns as well. Hahahaha. Can you imagine that?! Anyway. New kontinet, new cities, new people, new food, drinks, smells and a new language. Well I tell ya. That is complicating. Khajit is the only one who speaks the language here. I mean, I can understand it with some magical help, but speaking is still difficult. Which is really annoying, because it makes it really hard to ask anyone where they've bought their amazing robe or boots. Let alone figure out what the yummiest food is. Though I have found a great solution for that. I'm trying it all. Anyway....I'm losing track of my story here. New things. Though for Khajit it's not so new. He comes from the city we are now in. But! There is a guy who lives here who tried to kill Khajit and left him for dead. What a horrible person. Sigurd would have a word or two to say about something like that. Like; If you try to kill someone, make sure they're dead. Or; If someone tries to kill you, make sure they end up dead. Something like that. So this guy that hurt Khajit is now some Lord of the ekstjekker. Whatever. Fancy title, fancy house, big bodyguards. Not going to save you from an ass kicking, and though Sigurd is not with us to do the kicking. I have noticed that Drok does some phenomenal kicking as well. So I'm sure that will work out just fine.
SHIT! SHIT! SHIT!
Turns out Lords of the somesuch are part of the groups of people that write the books of rules, or whatcha me call it again, laws. So after some fine ass kicking it meant we had to leave in a hurry. I hardly sampled any food yet. Very disappointing. Then again, Khajit has arranged some really strange horses for us to ride. Camels they are called. The ship of the desert. Well, they don't have sails, but they sway from side to side like a ship. That's for sure. So this journey is going to be fun!
Luckily, Khajit and Rubble did a lot of research in the book place, li-brar-y, they called it. Lots of books. More books than in all of Shittycreekrun. Since they read all them books, they must know where we're going. Which is great for me because there's a lot of desert here I haven't seen yet. Sandy desert, rocky desert, sandy and rocky or even salt desert. It's crazy, I know, but I licked the ground and it was really salt.
On the way to the next town we met a really exciting, flying, blueish being. Khajit sold him something that Rubble made. We arrived in the town two days later. Really great food here. I hope we'll stay for a while...guess what. We had to run again. First a fight in the night at some empty warehouse. I don't even remember how it started, but these people were looking for this dragon as well. So I expected they would be joining us on our journey. We go to meet them and within five minutes it turns into a fight. What a mess. Then it turns out the rule writing bastard that tried to kill Khajit also wrote the rulebook for this town. Which got us into trouble when the innkeeper heard Drok mention how mean it was, of the bodyguards that we let live, to give our description to the guard. That was after the fight with the Djinn in which the inn got kind of smashed. The Djinn is the blue creature from the desert. He attacked us because he was not happy with his purchase. I really need to learn this language and help Khajit not to get into these misunderstandings. Sigurd should have explained more to him about trading.
Now we are skipping most towns. Pity. But at some point we met this guy called Amir. He tells us lots of stuff about the Dragon and her cult and other things that I already forgot. He shows us the way to an oasis. It has a beautiful lake. We all jump in. Drok throws Amir in. Because Amir really needed a bath.
This Amir guy is a great help. We got to the first big swamp. At first I thought it was great, because it looked so green. But now I know I really fucking hate swamps. So many bugs that are trying to eat you! From this swamp we go to the next one. Which is an even shittier swamp. More bugs. Deeper water. And endless mud. On top of it all, Khajit scouts a bunch of bastards who seem to lie in ambush for us. Scum they are. Ambushing us when my mood is like this from trudging through mud and water for two days. Now we have to go around them and ambush them. Bastards. Also, no more diary in the swamp. The ink wont dry properly and the two pages with my new recipes ruined because of the humidity.
So we ambushed the ambushers and just as soon as we were having a good conversation with their boss some invisible Asshole skewers his throat and stabs me as well. Impressive. But what a bastard. That really hurt. As were busy whooping the asshole's ass. Another invisible bastard attacks us. WTF. The guy that got stabbed in the throat just now wasn't kidding when he said his cult was after us. Everyone was pretty pissed off, so before the Vikings even got a chance to get off their asses these two guys were already dead. No one to question. Luckily, one of them had a diary full of useful information in it. Come to think of it, maybe I should come up with a secret language to write in mine. Imagine the useful knowledge an enemy might glean from my diary where they to steal it! We learn lots of things about the cult and how they want to kill us. US?!? We're super nice people. Rubble is always fixing people's things. Drok sometimes breaks people's things, but only when he is drunk. Mostly. He always apologises though, but sometimes he breaks a nose. Or two. For which he also apologises. Khajit purrs like a kitten when you stroke his back, I mean, what's not to like about that?!? And I'm always super nice to everyone we meet. I properly introduce myself with a smile, like my mother taught me. That dragon must be pretty mean if it tells all these cult people to hate and kill us. There is also stuff about some Bossman wizard in the diary. I say we go to him to kick his ass. And face. And after that talk to him. Maybe.
On the way to the town where we hope to find the wizard there was a signboard at a junction. And it had us on it. Some drawings and a description of us, the Vikings, everyone. And it said there was a reward for us for the killing of the Lord Ex-cheq-uer (apparently it is written like this).
Which means we have to be extremely careful when we go into any town from now on. Bummer. Like this I'll never be able to write my book about the food of this kontinet. Good thing I can change my appearance.
At least I have everyone convinced to go find this wizard. I still want to kick his fat wizard ass, but it will also a great opportunity to try the local food.
So we've arrived at Tiamat where we have a lead on one of the dragon cult members. We can't just go into the city and search because we have found wanted posters with our description on it and it's all because we sentenced the murderer Samir to death. We where in our rights to do so, he did leave Khajit for dead so even in his own mind he was a killer. However the authorities apparently have a different perspective hence the posters. So we devised a plan to enter the city disguised and left the other Riders of the storm and Leora out of the city. We now headed in with some disguise self spells a shiny armor for Drok and me in a bag of holding.
Sitting in the bag of holding for a while gave me some ideas on how I could speed up the process of permanently infusing magic into an item.
!DON'T FORGET THIS!
Assumptions:
My conjecture:
All infusions related to the same catalyst (and potentially the same family of catalysts) can be grouped and applied at the same time.
Although it's common practice to apply a catalyst to every stage of the creation and infusion process I don't think that has to be the way, if I'm right that would both speed up the creation and lower the amount of materials needed to create a magic item. I do think this would lower the margin of error during the infusion process and may well be the reason it's not common practice.
In case Davinara, Khajit or Drok reads this, this was the only peace of paper I had access to and I know you get bored with technical details. My apologies.
!STILL DON'T FORGET THIS!
We, well actually not me because I was still in the bag, talked to the barkeep and inquired about where we could find some high level spell-caster to cast a spell for us, knowing that the cult member is a high level spell-caster, the barkeep very nicely told us there are three such persons in the city and gave us directions to all three of them. We went back to our room and talked about what to do next, that's when Davinara received an urgent message from the Floshem family that the book we left there was translated/researched and we needed to go to Uthodorn to be informed about the results. We had a short discussion on whether we should go immediately or if we should go find the spell-caster first we decided that if the Floshem family says it's urgent it may be wise to go there first. We're now on our way to Faramir Floshem he should be able to teleport us to the Floshem family house in Uthodorn.
It's nice to be back here.
We just exchanged pleasantries and got an update from Uthemar's father and we're now heading to the university to learn what secrets the book contained. We knew it was one book of three but that the whole trilogy could have been the downfall of Molaesmyr is not what I guessed. Davinara was clever enough to also verify if our quest to obtain the dragon claw may be linked to the books and it appears it may be so. We're going back to Tiamat and decided that for now the black dragon is still an evil entity and the world is better off without it. Also if we kill it and we do get the claw it may well be the best way to prevent Darko Trebain from obtaining it, unless we supply it to him ourselves, we did make a deal.
I almost forgot, we still had a silver ring made by my blacksmith friend. It was very nice to see him again and catch up for a bit, but it turned out the owner of the ring was on the same mission as us to retrieve a black dragon claw and he didn't have any relatives here so we're going to keep the ring. My friend did tell me he crafted the ring with very specific instructions and it was intended to be infused with some kind of magic. Well for now get back to Tiamat first all the answers seem to be there.
So we're back in Tiamat and on our way to the house of the first wizard. Drok seems impresses this is a proper wizard accomodation, tower check, magical speaking door check and a very peculiar man. We asked him a few questions and allowed him an accidental glance at the cultist rings we acquired. No sign he recognized it. So Davinara and I don't think this is the infamous cultist leader. So on to the second house, I have to admin this one is less impressive wizard house but the owner welcomed us in and shared some drink with us. We don't think this is the one either, so this one agreed to help us find the right person if we do a small errand for him at the third wizard house, we have to retrieve a book about teaspoons, reluctantly we agreed. On our way to the third house. If this isn't the cultist, then we have to rely on the divination skills of the wizard that we just left, well we'll see. Finally at the third house again same trick with an accidental glance and nothing, he did seem annoyed when we mentioned that we are here to retrieve the teaspoon book. He gave us the books and send us on our way. So our last lead is our payment for retrieving the book. After some short pleasantries and the wizard's was very pleased with himself when he heard the other wizard was annoyed when he had to hand over the book, he went on to look for the location of the wizard that we are looking for. He put some herbs and stuff I didn't recognize into a fiery pot and smoke appeared, the smoke contained an image of a wizard looking into a ball, IT WAS THE FIRST GUY. We ran over there kicked in the door and ran upstairs, he was expecting us and attacked hard. The crafty basterd was flying and invisble, we quickly beat him and he fell to his death. So we searched the room and found round object covered by a piece of cloth and Drok ripped it off. It was a Palentir with a big yellowish eye in it looking strait at us.
Drok and Khajit had a talk with Aeranthrix through the palantir we uncovered, it was almost if he was taunting us to come and find him. So we did. After some time crossing the swamps we arrived at the ruins of an old city or stronghold and we taunted the dragon to come out and face us. So he did, he blasted most of the riders of the storm and the balistas away in a single attack. Seeing such devastation, this doesn't look like the same dragon from the library this one is much stronger, the articles must have been really old. I think there's no chance we're going to make it out of here alive, black dragons are known to be ruthless and there's nothing we can offer that has value to it. I see how Drok is fighting for the honor of the fight and the glory of Kord, if I'm going to die let's make it a good fight and let Kord allow me to join my friends in the afterlive.
We made it, we killed Aeranthrix I did not think this was possible but we did it, first beer then figure out what to do with the claws of Aeranthrix.
I will not divulge how we did it but we disposed of the claws and are now on our way back to Tiamat in the hope that Faramir will teleport us back to Uthodorn. Faramir was kind enough to teleport us back to <name of city>, he knew a teleportation circle there and it makes the journey much easier for the whole party. And now some shopping.
