A murder occurred about 1 week ago at the Gilded Pegasus Restaurant. Jayla Floren was working late one night alone in the restaurant cleaning up after close. The next morning it was discovered the one of the second floor windows was broken and Lukas Wynter (Jayla’s ex-boyfriend) had been murdered.

His body was found in the second floor of the restaurant. He should not have been there, not only because it was after close, but because Gryffen Freed had asked that he not come to the restaurant after some disturbances he had caused.

Perrin Morse (Jayla’s current boyfriend) was found wandering the streets the next day, covered in blood and wounded as if he had been in a fight. There as no sign of Jayla Floren and she has not been seen since.

The police have very little in the way of leads and Constable Hawthorne asked the party to look into the issue.

Update: The party investigated the scene of the crime. They found nothing around the window, but Jerry Beard found some hair at the site of the killing. Closer examination revealed it to be fur, not hair.

The party next went to speak to Jayla’s Mom. She did not have any useful info, but allowed the group to inspect Jayla Floren‘s room. In the room the group found a letter from Lukas Wynter begging to meet because he had information for her. They also found an un-opened present from Lukas. Inside was a key. There were no identifying marks and Jayla’s Mom did not recognize it.

Next the party went to Lukas Wynter‘s place of work. They found from his work log that he had recently checked out some genealogical records. There was no info as to the exact records he checked out.

Next step is to investigate Lukas Wynter‘s home.

Investigations revealed the Florens are related to a man named Jordus Ghorvindangijenson. This is the same man/case that Gideon Graymantle is investigating.

During questioning, Gideon Graymantle admitted to being present at the attack/murder. He claims to be currently tracking down Jayla and that his work will then be done.

Current thought is that Gideon is a werewolf and may have passed that on to Jayla.

Update: Confirmed that Gideon was a werewolf. Captured him and he admitted to committing the murder and turning Jayla into a werewolf. Turned Gideon into the constable and found Jayla and removed the curse from her so she could return home.
