Unidentified Being: "Love Song"

Throwing Flower Petals at Alathea

Appearance: Slender blonde woman with golden hair ornaments, white silk Grecian robes, sandals with bangles
First Encountered: April 27, 1690 - Circe’s Temple
Encountered By: Alethea (Night Wind crew)
Status: Divine entity of unknown identity
Appearances:

  • Appeared before Alethea in Circe’s Temple, reciting a song and throwing petals at Alathea (#003)

“Love Song” is an unidentified divine entity who appeared to Alethea during the Night Wind crew’s exploration of Circe’s temple on April 27, 1690. Distinguished by her silent communication through gesture and her ability to manifest tangible flowers while inducing profound emotional and mystical experiences, she delivered a cryptic song verse before vanishing.

Physical Description

The entity appears as a woman of slender build with an ethereal presence. She has blonde hair styled with care, wrapped gracefully around her face and shoulders, with golden strands or woven pieces glinting throughout her curls that enhance her divine aura.

She wears white silk robes finely woven in the traditional Grecian style, which seem to radiate with a soft inner glow rather than mere light reflection. The silk flows and drapes evocatively of ancient goddesses. Her feet are adorned with classical-style sandals that wrap with straps up her calves, and her feet and ankles bear bangles that shimmer faintly.

Encounter with Alethea

Love Song manifested silently as Alethea passed between two guardian statues inside Circe’s temple during the crew’s exploration. The appearance occurred in a narrow passage after the party had solved the Love riddle and was proceeding deeper into the temple complex. Alethea experienced a beautiful lullaby-like song that filled her with uplifting energy and a floating sensation, causing her heartbeat to race. The following verses were something that only Alathea could hear:

And in that song, two hearts beat as one—a deep pulse, vast and slow, echoing through the dark.
One held silence, the other sound. One was still, the other starlight. One was sweet, the other chaos, but together, they were the sea

Love Song raised the flowers she carried, blew them outward, and scattered the petals toward Alethea before vanishing abruptly.

Physical Evidence

Rose Petals

The encounter left tangible proof in the form of white and pink rose petals scattered across the stone floor where Love Song had appeared. While only Alethea could see the entity directly, Sabine confirmed the presence of these petals and caught the scent of roses, verifying the experience was not entirely illusory but involved genuine magical or divine manifestation.

Effect on Alethea

The experience left Alethea in a trance-like state, glassy-eyed and speaking briefly in Greek while expressing frustration: “Just tell me, what am I missing?” Sabine had to physically interrupt Alethea’s disoriented condition and pull her focus back to reality.
