The Vistani Encampment outside of the Town of Vallaki is one of only two semi-permanent settlements that the nomadic peoples called the Vistani consider ‘home’, with the other being at Tser Pool with Madam Eva. the leader of this encampment is Lavash, father of Arabelle and brother in law to Arrigal.

The remaining Dusk Elves of Barovia are situated at the base of the hill that is the encampment, their hovels built into the very earth itself. The Dusk elves stay to themselves as much as possible so as not to catch the eye of the master of the land, Strahd von Zarovich.
